In this role, you will use modern welding equipment from Orbitalum and Swagelok to work on stainless steel pipes and components for the high-tech industry.
Your workplace is indoors, in a clean and well-maintained workshop. The temperature is kept at around 18.5°C, providing a comfortable working environment.
What will you do?
Your job involves preparing, welding and finishing stainless steel pipes and components. Your main responsibilities include:
- Welding thin-walled stainless steel pipes with wall thicknesses of 0.56 to 3.2 mm and diameters ranging from 3.18 to 88 mm.
- Preparing and setting up the welding machine, which then automatically welds all the way around the pipe (360°).
- Building and assembling specialised piping systems and components by following technical drawings.
- Checking welds visually to make sure they look correct.
- Cleaning parts after the welding process.
- Packing and repacking finished components.
- Assisting fitters and working alongside them in the cleanroom.

What do we expect from you?You do not need to know everything from day one. We are looking for someone with a practical attitude, an interest in technology and a careful approach to their work.
- You are interested in welding, metalworking, mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- Experience with TIG welding or another welding method is an advantage.
- Knowledge of stainless steel is a plus.
- You work carefully and pay attention to detail.
- Being able to understand technical drawings and documentation is an advantage.
- You enjoy working with others, sharing knowledge and learning new skills.
- You can work independently and are willing to suggest ways to improve the work.
- You care about the quality of your work and want to deliver good results.
- Dutch is not required, but you must be able to speak either English or German.
New to orbital welding? That is absolutely fine! Experience with another type of welding is welcome. If you have a good technical understanding and are motivated to learn the job, we would also like to hear from you.

Employment conditions:
- A permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour working week.
- Day shifts from Monday to Friday.
- Working hours from 07:00 to 16:00.
- A gross monthly salary of €2,800 to €3,700, depending on your qualifications and experience, in accordance with the Dutch Metalektro collective labour agreement (CAO Metalektro).
- A total of 40 days off per year for full-time employees, consisting of 27 holiday days and 13 additional days off (ADV).
