Wat ga je doen?
Are you technically minded and would you like to work in a modern production environment within the food industry? We are looking for a motivated Packaging Operator to work on a three-shift rota for an international manufacturing company in Kerkrade.
You will be responsible for ensuring the packaging process runs smoothly. You will work with various machines and constantly monitor whether the production line is functioning correctly. Safety, quality and efficiency are key aspects of your day-to-day work.
Your role within the production process
As a Packaging Operator, you will ensure that the packaging lines continue to run optimally. You will identify any deviations, resolve minor issues yourself where possible, and check that the end product meets quality requirements.
Your tasks will include:
- Setting up and operating packaging machines and equipment;
- Monitoring the operation of the machines during the production process;
- Identifying and resolving minor malfunctions and technical issues;
- Replenishing packaging materials in good time;
- Checking products against established quality guidelines;
- Cleaning machines and the immediate working environment;
- Recording production data and any notable incidents.
Working in 3 shifts
For this role, you will work an average of 37.5 hours per week on a 3-shift rota. The shifts are as follows:
- Morning: 06:45 – 15:00
- Afternoon: 14:45 – 23:00
- Night: 10.45 pm – 7.00 am

We are looking for a Packaging Operator who takes responsibility for their work and enjoys working in a production environment.
It is important that you:
- Already have experience in production or as an operator;
- Have technical insight and can quickly identify anomalies;
- Work with precision;
- Take quality and food safety seriously;
- Consider working safely a matter of course;
- Have a good command of Dutch and/or English;
- Experience within the food industry is an advantage, but certainly not a requirement.
